4:00 p.m. Opening of the 991st Bremer Freimarkt at the Bürgerweide; Senator Kristina Vogt will cut the ribbon on Theodor-Heuss-Allee
9:45 p.m. Fireworks over the Bürgerweide
Wednesday, October 21
Werder Day – anyone who comes to the Freimarkt wearing an SV Werder Bremen scarf or jersey will receive a discount all day long at participating booths or caroussels.
Saturday, October 24
57th Freimarktsumzug
10:00 a.m. Parade begins on Pappelstraße
11:00 a.m. First participants arrive at the market square and TV broadcast begins
2:00 p.m. Awards ceremony for the best and most beautiful groups in the Bayernzelt
Wednesday, October 28
Halloween Day
2:00–7:00 p.m. Face painting for children at various stations
4:00 p.m. Children’s Spooky Parade – ghostly and spooky characters march through the Freimarkt
8:00 p.m. Horror Parade – horror characters roam among the booths and carousels
Saturday, October 31
Worship Service
11:00 a.m. Reformation Day service with Pastor Friedhelm Blüthner at the Top In bumper car ride
Sunday, November 1
Freimarkt Funeral
Around 8:30 p.m., the funeral procession begins its final walk through the Freimarkt
